Here at threebrand, we love a ‘cold one’ so we were pleased to be given the chance to design four Newcastle Limited Edition brews for the USA - the first time Newcastle Brown Ale has ever launched a seasonal product in America.
The four Limited Edition Ales were launched in pubs and stores across America in 2011 and each features delicious flavours to complement the season it supports and iconic packaging to match. The collection is: Newcastle Summer Ale, Newcastle Werewolf, Newcastle Winter IPA and Founder’s Ale.
Colin Westcott-Pitt, Vice President of Marketing at Heineken USA, said: “The Limited Edition range is a first for Newcastle and Heineken in the US, therefore we needed to ensure we had the perfect design partner. threebrand’s creativity and lateral thinking complemented by extensive experience in the beer sector, especially craft ales, made them the perfect choice.
“Their passion and exuberance pushed the design through with artistic edge and the results speak for themselves.”
Newcastle Werewolf recently went on to win a silver medal in the World Beer Championships due to its natural blood red colour, distinct tasting sweet berry overtones and sudden bite of bitterness.
We are now looking forward to working on 2012 limited edition releases for Heineken UK.
