William Grant & Sons needed distinctive packaging for a new and innovative whisky that was a first for them and the category. Not only was it their first peated whisky, but they’d developed a new precision micro maturation process to balance the complex flavours.
We based our designs on the precise nature of the process with coordinates on the label pinpointing the precise location of the distillery. A bespoke stopper also featured a real piece of granite from the brand’s namesake, the ancient volcanic rock called Ailsa Craig which can be seen just off the coast where the distillery is located. Karen Murphy, Marketing Director, said: “We were delighted by threebrand’s designs and overjoyed when sales beat all expectations.”
